Portable Diver Detection Sonar

Portable Diver Detection Sonar (PDDS) boasts a unique modular design that enables tailoring of the system to customer requirements and site specific geography. This new tough but light system offers detection for even the weakest of targets and can easily handle hundreds of targets simultaneously. Tata Aerospace & Defence under Transfer of Technology (ToT) from their technology partner, DSIT, will manufacture and supply Portable Diver Detection Sonars (PDDS) to the Indian Navy. As a part of the technology transfer, Tata Aerospace & Defence shall be indigenising all components of the Sonar inclusive of the Wet End & Ship Equipment. The program is the first ever major order for indigenisation of a Sonar System by a private sector company.
